James R. Edwards
James is an environmental scientist with over 12 years of professional experience. James is focused on the siting, permitting, and engineering development of projects from the Energy Solutions Herndon, Virginia Office. His experience ranges across the activities required for implementing and managing the re-development of brownfields including large GSA projects and contaminated industrial properties, construction dewatering and groundwater remediation, hazardous building material assessments and abatement, and environmental due diligence including Phase I and Phase II site assessments.
James served as a Senior Consultant for a national and globally focused engineering and environmental services firm for 8 years. Additionally, he has worked as the Construction Environmental Manager for an 11.4 mile Metrorail project extending through Dulles International Airport with construction costs over one billion dollars. James started his career at a regional environmental consulting firm located in Virginia and has also worked with a residential developer, managing land assessment and acquisitions throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. He is a graduate of Ferrum College, with a B.S. in Environmental Science. James holds inspector licenses for stormwater management, lead, and asbestos assessment.
