Andrew “Andy” W. Dorn Jr.

Andy has extensive experience in banking, mergers and acquisitions and business development which has led to relationships with a number of investment banking, private equity and venture capital firms. He is the founder and was the Chief Executive Officer of two financial institutions.   In 1994 he led the organization of the Jamestown Savings Bank where he was president and CEO until the bank was sold in 1997 at which time he organized Great Lakes Bancorp (GLBK, NYSE) the parent of the Greater Buffalo Savings Bank where he was also President and CEO.  Mr. Dorn led the growth of the bank from a startup to a full service financial institution with more than $900 million in assets and 19 offices located throughout western New York State.  The bank was sold in 2008 to First Niagara Financial Group.  From 2008 until 2013, Andy was the President and Chief Investment Officer of Hunterview LLC, a private investment company specializing in fixed income management.

Mr. Dorn sits on a number of both for profit and not for profit boards and is very active in the Western New York business and cultural community.  Currently, he is a Director of Financial Institutions, Inc. (FISI, Nasdaq), the holding company for Five Star Bank.  He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo and earned a Master of Business Administration from Canisius College.
